Concert for George 2003

On the evening of Friday, November 29, 2002, more than 5,000 fans from around the world gathered in London for a concert in memory of George Harrison, the guitarist of the legendary band The Beatles. Tickets for this memorial event—organized at the initiative of Harrison’s widow, Olivia, and Eric Clapton, and timed to coincide with the first anniversary of the guitarist’s death on November 30—were virtually impossible to get. They sold out within minutes of going on general sale.
